I am a Public Relations Practitioner

 

Being a Public Relations Practitioner it is important for us to have good writing skills. While I have the ability to practise my other strengths in Public Relations on a daily basis, I felt that I was not able to practise writing as much as I would love to. Thus, I thought the best way for me to practice my writing would be to WRITE…WRITE… and WRITE…

 

While many expect me to write matters of politics, I choose not to. I write stories pertaining to my profession and what I like most, which is UNITY and how to create more of it in this country. I also write about things which are close to my heart.

 

Fantasy… wow you’ve asked me a question that I should ask GOD. I want to do GOOD. I want to be in a better position to touch as many lives as possible during my short stay here on earth.

 

I love to watch comedies, but I can’t remember the latest movie I’ve watched. I must admit I like watching Home Alone, every one of them.

 

Reading, Driving (I clear my thoughts as I drive) I’m also an avid ‘netizen’.

 

Have more money to help others, Experience re-birth on earth and I want to be one of the world’s well known public relations practitioner.

Well, I must thank 3 people who introduced me to the blogging world. They are R Amutha, K Novinthen and B Mahendran . These people gave me the encouragement to start blogging and the moment I got into it, I realised there were so many things out there that we need to understand. I also realised that there is a serious need for bloggers to meet and discuss on how to work together effectively. Having said that, I understand there has not been a proper forum to talk and discuss about this matter – THUS Bloggers Buff 2007 was created and as I was new, I seeked the assistance of Mr. B Mahendran and R Amutha and their team to organise the event.

It has taught me a lot new terminology in vulgarity…(joke) :) Seriously, It has brought me closer to bloggers in this country and also outside Malaysia. In fact I have been invited to attend some forums to talk about public relations and blogging and how to be involved in politics without the cursing and swearing.

 

It is definitely a trend. It will stay even longer than me.

 

Blogging will allow us to have a two-way communication, but readers must remember to use the right choice of words without offending anyone. From a Public Relations practitioner point of view, instead of just the print media covering an event, I think bloggers should be invited too.

MANYA AWARDS was a BLUE OCEAN THOUGHT, no one has ever organised an event of this nature before. After we started, I realised that a few more organisations have also started a similar award event. In fact I was pleased when Rocky (Ahiruddin Attan) told me, we were the 1^st one in Malaysia to organise such an event. We started this with a sincere effort to encourage Indians to get into the blogging world and from the beginning we wanted this award to be opened to all Malaysians but the committee proposed that we should first get Malaysian Indian bloggers for the ultimate challenge before getting others to join in.

I think GOD has given us a wonderful earth to preserve and to take care of, but we humans tend to abide to greed and we ask for more than what we are given. To answer your question, I would probably ask them to PAY IT FORWARD…..
