So who is Prashant Kumar?

Prashant Kumar is currently the CEO of Mediabrands Malaysia, the umbrella company for UM, Initiative, Reprise (search marketing) and Rally (social marketing).

Universal MCCann (UM) Malaysia is a thought leader and business partner to such blue-chip clients as Coca-Cola, J&J, F&N, Proton, RHB Bank, Telekom Malaysia, Dutch Lady, Cerebos, MasterCard, and Cathay-Pacific etc.

UM is a thrice Grand Prix winner at the Malaysian Media Awards. UM was also voted Agency of the year at Malaysian Media Awards 2010. UM Malaysia was the only media agency in Malaysia to get an A+ rating by RECMA in 2010.

Prior to his current role, he headed UM’s Communication Planning for Asia-Pacific, driving strategic creativity and helping win new business for the network.

Prashant chaired the Malaysian Media Awards 2009 and was the Vice-President of Media Specialists Association in Malaysia for ‘09-10. He was the first member of Malaysian Media Community to be invited to the coveted Cannes Media Lions jury in 2009.

Prashant is an alumnus of St. Stephen’s College, Delhi, and the famed MICA, Ahmedabad. He recently completed his Advanced Management Program from Harvard Business School.
